Water Jet Sweden launches a new product that saves time and improves accuracy
Market introduction in October at FABTECH USA and EuroBLECH Germany
In high-precision waterjet cutting, tool change is a critical step. When a cutting tool is to be changed, careful calibration is required to ensure that precision is maintained. It requires both competence and accuracy. With the new product Auto TCP Calibration Tool, the calibration can be performed automatically. It takes a fraction of the time, requires no special skills and always provides accurate results.
The Auto TCP Calibration Tool consists of a special software that plugs in to the control system, a measuring probe with a base plate and a calibration ball. The product is used for all types of angled cutting, i.e. machines that are equipped with Alphajet, Beveljet or FiveX cutting heads.
– For an experienced operator, manual calibration normally takes 15-30 minutes, says Stefan Johansson, System Developer at Water Jet Sweden. If you are unaccustomed to it, it can take even longer. With the new Auto TCP Calibration Tool, the measurement takes just 3-5 minutes, but above all, you avoid the human factor and minimize the risk of errors. All changes are verified in a log that is saved.
The product Auto TCP Calibration Tool will be launched in the US at the FABETCH trade fair in Orlando on October 15-17. The following week, it will be released in Europe at the EuroBLECH fair in Hanover on 22–25 October.
