On June 1, Water Jet Sweden will take over service responsibility for Bystronic’s waterjet cutting customers in the Nordic and Baltic countries. A collaboration based on specialist expertise and proximity to customers.
For many years, Bystronic sold waterjet cutting machines as a complement to its laser cutting. It was a small product branch in the large product range of laser machines, press brakes, bending machines and automation. In 2018, the company decided to stop selling waterjet machines, and the same year, the last Bystronic Byjet machine was sold in Scandinavia.
Since then, Bystronic has been servicing with its own staff.
– As people change jobs, they lose skills and experience. That’s why we choose to hand over the responsibility for service to a partner who is a specialist in waterjet cutting,” says Kimmo Syrjäläinen, Service Manager at Bystronic Scandinavia AB.
Control systems may have similarities in Bystronic’s product range, but the processing techniques of laser cutting and waterjet cutting differ greatly, and specialist knowledge is important to be able to provide good service and support.
– We chose Water Jet Sweden as a service partner both because they have both the expertise and the proximity to the customers, Kimmo continues. With our different focuses, we complement each other in a good way, Kimmo sums up.
On June 1, 2024, Water Jet Sweden took over service responsibility for Bystronic’s waterjet customers, which includes service, customer support and spare parts management in all Nordic and Baltic countries.
– We have given our service technicians additional training on Bystronic’s machines and control systems and are ready to give them the same level of service as our other customers, says Ronny Martinsson, Customer Service Manager at Water Jet Sweden. They are very welcome to contact us!
