Swedish Waterjet Lab

Frontline technology for future success

The Ronneby area in southern Sweden has grown to become a global R&D and production centre within water jet cutting. As a consequence of this, Swedish Waterjet Lab was formed in 2007 by local industries in partnership with Blekinge Institute of Technology and The Municipality of Ronneby.

Today Swedish Waterjet Lab is a platform where the industry, the community and the scientific establishment carry out joint projects in order to develop the water jet technology of tomorrow. They do so e.g. by scouting for new application areas and by developing methods for cutting of high-tech materials like composites.

Water Jet Sweden is one of the local members and beneficiaries of Swedish Waterjet Lab. The lab is equipped for evaluation and study of different cutting setups and is also used by researchers and students.
